Situated in the heart of the City of Cape Town on the Main Road in Green Point, the BEST Ugly is about savory food matched with the best South African wines. The ground floor restaurant offers a cool dining ambience with live piano music. The menu consist of a fusion of tastes from all around the world complemented each month with international food specialties dedicated to a Jazz Artist, to his/her music and to his/her country of origin.

 

The Cigar and Whisky bar on the 1st floor is a sanctuary for whisky, cigar and live jazz enthusiasts where you can taste the best single malts, smoke Cuban cigars and enjoy the performance of local and international artists.

 

The BEST Ugly offers live entertainment on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings with the Best South African jazz musicians, like Jimmy Dludlu, Maurice Gawronsky, Alvin Dyers or Camillo Lombard. On Wednesday nights our food specialties are accompanied by live piano music.

 

The BEST Ugly is also ideal for business lunches or private functions. The ground floor restaurant can accommodate up to 120 persons, while the New Orleans style bar on the 1st Floor is nice and cozy with a seating capacity of 60.  Our patio and balcony overlooks the Green Point recreational centre, including the Green Point Stadium.
